Founded in 2004, RP Construction is a locally owned construction company in Anchorage, Alaska. Our focus is on high quality works involving both residential and light commercial. Partners Rick Petter and Matt Vial form the foundation of the company and are intimately involved in all aspects of the work. Together with our in-house crew, we bring a trusted network of professionals, suppliers, structural engineers, and architects to each project. It is a core value that we establish and maintain a close working relationship with our clients. We believe an open line of communication and a collaborative approach consistently allows for successful projects. Our broad scope of experience allows us to work within the modern or traditional aesthetic.

RICK PETTER

Rick brings an in-depth understanding of the construction industry. Rick started in the electrical trade and has since worked in construction from framing to finish carpentry to building furniture. He has a strong interest in energy efficient building, as well as detail and craft. Key to Rick’s skill set is his ability to navigate complex systems for a successful process and completion of every project, translating complex architectural and structural language, tracking the budget and schedule, and maintaining clear lines of communications between client and crews.

MATT VIAL

A carpenter by trade, Matt draws on a lifetime spent in the construction industry and a Bachelors of Science in Construction Management to supervise our field operations.  His skill set is a unique blend of hands-on expertise with strong communication, management, and problem-solving skills. This allows him to effectively navigate complex relationships and processes to achieve the high-quality results we expect in our projects.  Matt cares deeply for his work and those that work with him find him knowledgeable, attentive, and easy to communicate with.  He enjoys the challenge of taking on unusual or difficult projects and strives to uphold the ethics of honesty and craftsmanship in all that he does.
